Gori Gesha
One of the oldest known coffee varieties, still growing wild in the forest it's named for.

Gori Gesha comes from the Gori Gesha Forest in western Ethiopia, and it is among the oldest coffee material anyone has a name for. It is a sibling of the Gesha that made Panama famous, from the same forest, collected at a different time.
Coffee from the Gesha region is less known than Yirgacheffe or Guji, which is mostly an accident of which names the export trade settled on. The material itself is exceptional.
In the cup it shows the aromatic intensity the Gesha family is known for, with more wild fruit and less of the jasmine-and-bergamot signature that Panamanian Gesha is sold on.
